SUNLU PA6-CF combines 80% PA6 nylon and 20% carbon fiber, producing a highly rigid, high-strength, and heat-resistant material for demanding technical applications. The material offers excellent layer retention and dimensional stability, making it suitable for both functional prototypes and end-product use.

Specifications

High mechanical strength and heat resistance

The carbon fiber reinforcement of PA6-CF provides remarkable stiffness, torsional strength and impact resistance. The heat distortion temperature rises to 209 °C , which is significantly higher than that of Easy PA, PC or ASA. This makes the material suitable for the manufacture of, for example, machine parts, automotive components and heat-resistant handles or housings.

Suitable for technical and industrial applications

The material's properties make it useful in parts that require high mechanical load resistance. Applications may include, for example:

  • gears and mechanical sliding surfaces
  • screws and fasteners
  • kick and engine deck structures
  • fan blades
  • protective cases, frames and chassis for toy cars
  • skateboard and bicycle parts

The stiffness and durability of the material support long-term use even under dynamic loads.

Print settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 270–280 °C
  • Print speed: 50–150 mm/s
  • Bed temperature: 100°C (or 50–70°C when using glue)
  • Bed surface: a thin layer of PVA glue or Magigoo PA improves adhesion
  • Post Heat treatment: 80–130 °C / 5–12 h (recommended for maximum heat resistance)

Important to note

  1. The filament must be dried before use at 80 °C / 24 h or 110 °C / 4 h.
  2. Use a wear-resistant nozzle – e.g. hardened steel. Due to the abrasive effect of carbon fiber.
  3. The material requires good temperature control and preferably a closed printing environment.
